Hi - I'd like some advice on how best to transform this data from Excel using the query builder
The data is a survey where there are a list of questions with a cooresponding numeric result, entered on a given date against an ID that represents the group of respondents (i've simplified here for the sake of example)
Team ID | Date | Question 1 | Question 2 | Question 3 | Question 4 | Question 5 | Question 6 | Question 7 | Question 8 | Question 9 | Question 10 |
ABC | 16/12/2021 | 7.8 | 1.2 | 5.4 | 6.7 | 8.5 | 5.2 | 1.4 | 5.6 | 7.7 | 9.2 |
DEF | 23/12/2021 | 4.5 | 5.7 | 9.2 | 8.5 | 1.2 | 4.5 | 3.4 | 7.6 | 9.9 | 4.7 |
I'd like to be able to separate the results from the questions but keep the relationship
I would ideally like to keep the source data in this format since it will be easiest for data owners to enter and maintain

@bd4 the best is to unpivot the data:
transform data -> select team and date column -> right click -> unpivot other columns
it will give you two more columns, called Attribute and Value, and rename these as you see fit. Close and apply
And now you can filter by attribute or team or date and visualize the value of each question the way you want.
