Highlight a data point based on a condition in control chart in power bi

Hello,

I am working on a Statistical Process Control Chart in power bi. Based on the deviation of data points, I want the chart to highlight some points which shows the process is out of control. I want to higlight below points-

1. if continioulsy 8 points are on either side of mean, then the 8th point should get highlight.

2. if continiously 8 points are increasing or decreasing on either side of mean, then the 8th point should get highlighted.

Please help to understand if this is possible using DAX functions.

Hi @Anonymous & @Anonymous

Did either of you ever find a solution for this?

I need to do exactly this process now for Covid monitoring so it would be a great help.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,

I can't find out a Statistical Process Control Chart. Can you provide the exact name?

I'm afraid DAX functions can't highlight any points. But they can paint them in different colors. Please refer to desktop-conditional-table-formatting#color-formatting-by-field-value.

Hi @v-jiascu-msft ,

Statistical process control is a method of quality control which employs statistical methods to monitor and control a process. You can check wikipedia for same. I am working on same charts and want some data points to be higlighted as per the conditions.

Hope, this helps.
