Getting an error when Anylazing in Excel since yesterday

Hi

I have a column in a table    -   Account Type = if(Accounts[Name] ="None","FIT","ACCOUNT")  -

This works okay in POWER BI and also works when using in excel connecting to POWER BI. However since yesterday then if I try to use the field in excel .

I get "We couldn't get the data from the external source. Here's the message we got: An unexpected exception occured."

I've delete and recrated the column, tried a column in a different name, tried a different sheet but always get the error if I try to use this sort of colum. Measure are okay.

Any one with nay ideas

Regards

steve

Hi @DAvoman13,

What is your data source? Could you please help to post sample data of your table?

Thanks,

Hi steve,

In that case, You can create a conditional column in Query Editor. This will completely filt in your logic.

Go to the Query Editor, Add column tab, Select Conditional column and Write the logic, This will give you the new column as desired which you would not throw error in Analyze in Excel.
