Good morning everyone,
I need assistance with a requirement that has been presented by our users.
Specifically, the requirement is as follows: we have a Power BI report that can be
filtered by different administrative units. The need is: report, when executed,
will generate as many different (filtered by unit) versions of itself as
administrative units in the company, and will export every version as a separate PDF file,
one for each administrative unit. Specifically, my question is: how to make the report
generate independent PDF files, separately, with different names, and each one filtered
by a different unit.
Obviously, manual option (having a person manually filtering and exporting report to PDF
once for each filter) is not feasible. Can anyone think of an easy way to accomplish this?
Thank you in advance.
See if BI Helper https://bihelper.tech works for your use case.
BI Helper is a third-party SaaS tool that automates user-specific PDF generation (i.e., with slicers and filters applied) and emailing from Power BI.
You need one Power BI Pro (or higher) license to set up and run your reports in BI Helper. Your end-users can be internal or external to your organization and don't need Power BI licenses to receive their PDFs.
