Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to convert one currency rate into another currency. IF I have a table 1 with all the FX rate and table 2 with amount and columns for converted currency. How do I proceed?
Table 1:
Table 2:
I am thinking of linking the two table based on dates. And extracting the rate based on month-year.
@Anonymous , A new column
new column =
[Amount]* maxx(filter(Table1, Table1[from] =Table2[Billable Currency] && Table1[Current] ="USD" && Table1[eff date] - Table1[Billable Date]),Table1[Rate])
@Anonymous I would keep them separated and do this:
GBP Amount Column in Table 2 =
VAR __BillableCurrency = [Billable Currency]
VAR __FXCurrency = "GBP"
VAR __Date = MAXX(FILTER('Table 1',[From]=__BillableCurrency && [Current]=__FXCurrency && [Eff Date]<=[Billable date]),[Eff Date])
VAR __Rate = MAXX(FILTER('Table 1',[From]=__BillableCurrency && [Current]=__FXCurrency && [Eff Date]=__Date),[Rate])
RETURN
[Amount] * __Rate
