Error converting number to date

Hi All,

Need urgent help! I am not able to add trend line when i switch the x axis from annual to quarterly time interval. When i am switching the axis type to continuous it automatically switches back to categorical.

While changing quarter to date i am getting an error!

Hi @Vaibhav_PBIX ,

Please check if you meet the following conditions:

The x-axis value needs to have a date/time format or be a uniformly increasing whole number.
- It can’t contain text or decimal numbers.
- Sometimes x-axis values appear to be dates, but they’re actually formatted as text. They won’t work for forecasting.
The chart has to have only one line. Multiple-line charts don’t work, even if all but one line is filtered out.
The line chart has to have fewer than 1,000 values. Power View samples data in charts with more than 1,000 values, and forecasting won’t work on sampled data.
The four most recent values in the time series must increase uniformly, meaning there’s the same length of time between each value.
The interval between values has to be at least one day.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

@Vaibhav_PBIX image you posted is not clear and very small, can you share what is the dax code instead of pasting the image.

@Vaibhav_PBIX continuous option is only available when the column on x-axis data type is number or date, if it is text it will not work. check my video here on this https://youtu.be/rv2Ndm8JuGA
