Hi all,
Hoping someone in the community will be able to help me! I have only just started using PowerBI in the last 6 months so still getting my head around everything.
I am currently trying to create a YTD and SPLY Turnover Line Graph by month. The issue I am having is calculating the average headcount.
The below graph shows the YTD Turnover by team (x axis).
Equation for headcount average currently - 2017 YTD Headcount = COUNT('2017 Headcount'[Division Name])/2
What I am trying to achieve is something like the below that shows it by month:
However, I am completeley stumped as to how to get the rolling count for example January would be number of leavers/headcount for month then from Feb it would be accumulative whereby the equation would be jan leavers + feb leavers / average headcount for Jan and Feb.
Any suggestions on how I can tackle this one would be greatly appreciated. Each of my data sources are line by line of employee names for both leavers and headcount.
Happy to provide more information if you need 🙂
