Hi RyanP,
Would you please clarify “a visual where I cannot get rid of the drilldown options. Nothing in drill through, no matter what buttons I press in the Data/Drill ribbon, nothing changes.”? Please share some screenshots to show the issue.
When a visual is drilled down to the lowest level, it can't be dill down more by clicking Drill-down icon or expand down icon, except the drill up icon to a higher level.
If nothing change when click the button of Data/Drill ribbon, the visual maybe don't exist hierarchy already by checking the drill icons in top of visual.
Drill requires a hierarchy. Essentially, it's convenient to think of two types of hierarchical data:
one type is Date and time data, so to check whether the fields data type is changed from Date\Time to Text or other types as a result to destroy the hierarchy;
the other type is Categorical data - If your data is derived from collections that contain subcollections, or otherwise has rows of data that share common values, you have hierarchical data, so to check whether the fields of higher level have be move away from the Axis, Group, Row or Column in the Visualization pan.
