Hello everyone,
like the title says, i can load the data from my ODBC datasource into Power Query, but after "close & apply", the following issue occurs: "ODBC: ERROR [08004] [ODBC Firebird Driver]File Database is not found" at the refreshing window
Therefore i cant schedule updates or refreshes to the Dataset in Power BI - Service either, huge problem.
Here are some important sidenotes:
1. My Database administrator recently updated the Firebird Database from 2.5 to 3.0
2. The ODBC-Source worked just fine with 2.5
3. The ODBC-Source Path is just the raw Firebird Data (main.FDP) the first error occured here, usually you can directly connect to main.FDP, after the Update to 3.0, its not possible. Therefore i copied the main.FDP and pasted it into an empty Folder.
4. The ODBC Setup now works just fine with that copied main.FDP
5. But as the title says, "ODBC: ERROR [08004] [ODBC Firebird Driver]File Database is not found"
Bizarrely, i can create a DATAFLOW Connection to the same datasource / same Gateway
Solved! Go to Solution.
i got the Solution, after the Firebird 3.0 Update, to prevent ODBC-issues you need to set the Pathprefix "localhost"
Like localhost:c:\example\main.fdb
Por fin!!! una solucion que me ha servido de gran ayuda. Muchas gracias por compartirlo.

@SC-THOLD-IT , Have updated the ODBC driver with a driver that works with 3.0?
