Data masking for Excel data

Hi Team,

I am new to power BI. I am working on a Telecom client. I have 2 tables which is linked on the confidencial field (MSISDN: Telephone no.s of customers). I want to data mask this field in the output. Data is coming from Excel and getting loaded into power BI. I am confused as to how to do it since that column is also used for linking two table. I need to just scarmble the words in the dashboard but need to maintain the link. Any suggestions?

hi, @Anonymous

You may try to use hide in report view function to hide the field before you publish the report to Power BI service,

It will not be seen in the Power BI service.

And you can also try to merge two table in Edit Queries by the confidential field and then remove this field.

Best Regards,

Lin
