Creating relation between two tables in power bi Desktop

Spoiler
Very Urgent Issue

Hi Everyone,

Can you help me on this, I have two tables in power BI, One of the table has got payroll data that has got fortnight date, location ID, and Account ID and I have another table with General Ledger details that has got data like fortnight date, Location ID and Account ID and many other values, these three values in both table are unique and are same in both of the tables. How can i create 1 to many relation between these two table. I want to use the fortnight date to drive measures for the tables i need to have one to many relation to use the pay date to drive calcualtions in both of the tables.

i tried merging all these columns to create relation but i cant i only can create many to many relation which is useless as the values i get with many to many is not right.

thanks for the help !!

Hi @Rabi ,

Many-to-many relationships do cause problems when you implement calculations or visual object effects, but you don't have to necessarily set the relationship between two tables to one-to-many, you can try to add a bridging table between the two tables, i.e., split the many-to-many relationship into many-to-one and one-to-many. You can refer to this document for specific steps:
