Connect to the usage dataset from Power BI Desktop

Hi , in Power BI Desktop I am trying to connect to the dataset of some usage reports in different workspaces where I have viewing rights , however these datasets do not appear in the list. Is there some specific settings to enable ?

It’s my pleasure to answer for you.

According to your description, I think you may find someone who has the right to give you the build permission of the dateset corresponding to the relevant report before you can use it.

And if you have admin,member or contributor roles of a workspace , you will automatically get all manage permission for the dateset.

Only users with Build permission for a dataset can connect to a published dataset using the Power BI service live connection.

@Anonymous , As far I know, this is available in power bi service -https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-usage-metrics
