I'm not sure what changed in PowerBI lately. I used to have no problems doing this and now have had several issues with my dashboards.
I have this column chart which displays in the format I want, but only shows dates where there is a value and excludes the dates where there is no value
my solution was to change the x axis to continuous. Now every date is there, but it displays in this absolutely horrible format
Is there a better solution to this problem?

Hi @davidoz
You can set the x-axis, then select 'show item with no data'
Then the blank item will display.
