I have a situation where the requirement is to build a tablix(matrix) based on item sub category. There are 27colums being generated in the data due to which the table width grows horizontally beyond the page border. The page size set is 8.5*11, but the table goe beyond the 8.5 margin. The current dataset is:
ITEM | SUB1 | SUB2 | SUB3 | SUB4 | SUB5 |
Quantity | 1 | 10 | 50 | 51 | 100 |
Expected output should be in printable format as shown below:
ITEM | SUB1 | SUB2 | SUB3 |
Quantity | 1 | 10 | 50 |
ITEM | SUB4 | SUB5 | TOTAL |
Quantity | 51 | 100 | 112 |
I tried using all the page break option to wrap the table into mutiple tables as shown but none of the options helped.
Hi, @useetharam ;
You could try paginated reports;
A major advantage of paginated reports is their ability to print all the data in a table, no matter how long. Picture that you place a table in a Power BI report. You see some of its rows in the table on the page, and you have a scroll bar to see the rest. If you print that page, or export it to PDF, the only rows that print are the ones you saw on the page.
Now say you place the same table in a paginated report. When you print it or export it to PDF, the paginated report has as many pages as necessary to print every row in that table.
