Calculate rows together with filters

Hi,

I am running into some challenges and could use some guidance.

I have a list of opportunities (across multiple years and quarters) linked to a table that details all activity done per opportunity.

What I try to visualize is the following:

- Visual of all companies with their total amount of opportunities, their sales engagement and their technical engagement in percentages.

- Filters to drill down on quarters but also on specific companies

I am able to calculate all rows and also calculate the percentages on all data but what I cannot accomplish is to apply a date filter (select a specifc quarter for example) as the pre-calculated fields still show the full amounts and are not taking the filter in account.

The structure of the tables is like this:

Calculate all opps:

Calculate specific engagement:

HI @Anonymous,

AFAIK, current power bi does not support creating dynamic calculated column/table based on slicer/filter effects, they are working on different data levels.
For this scenario, I'd like to suggest you use measure expression to instead, they can interact with filter effects.

Notice: the data level of power bi.

Database(external) -> query table(query, custom function, query parameters) -> data model table(table, calculate column/table) -> data view with virtual tables(measure, visual, filter, slicer)

You need to use measures instead of calculated columns. Calculated columns are added when the model is loaded  and remain static henceforth.
