Hi all,
I am working on a dashboard for reporting Budget Vs Actuals, and i have an issue where by When i mix fields from different tables in a visual(see figure 1) , they do not have an accurate slicing of values filtering ACTUAL in in figure 1 is according to the fields in act_trim but if i put Bud_trim fields in figure 1 it slices by figure 1 fields , i want it to be filtered by fields in bud_trim in the figure 1 visual values being sliced by fields in the actual table .
How do i slice fields from different tables in the same visual?

Hi @Anonymous ,
You could use your append table to achieve it:
Pay attention that the OA(DW) in your bug and act tables have different format, pls modify them to stay the same. Then you will get the visual as you need in your oringinal post.
Best Regards,
Kelly

Hey @Anonymous ,
I recommend reading this article:
If this will not help please consider to create a pbix file that contains sample data, but still reflects the data model (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/design-model-power-bi/).
You can use this to enter data directly in Power BI Desktop: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-enter-data-directly-into-desktop. Upload the pbix file to onedrive or dropbox and share the link. If you are using Excel to create the sample data, share the xlsx as well.
Hopefully, this will at least povide some new ideas.
Regards,
Tom
