Blanks in slicers and filters on report

Hi community, I keep getting blanks in some of my filter slicers that look like the image below. I have gone back to the original data to check for blanks and gaps and updated this into power BI but am having no luck getting rid of these. 

Any ideas?

The (blank) on the slicer only appears when there are multiple relationships to the dimension table.

This may be because table 1 with a one-to-many relationship contains values that do not exist in the corresponding column in table 2

If you want to disappear on the slicer, you can

Add fields that show blanks in the page-level filters section; check Select All on the filter and uncheck (Blank).
