Best visual control for reports since PDF only does screenshots...

Hi All,

I found out that the export to PDF  only a screen shot. So my only option is export to csv. But I need to be able in the Table data visualization to do multiple summaries say based on say company id and other filter values. I had that external to the table but now need it in it. So kind of a group by summary. Any pointers how to do that?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

If you use the Web service there is an option of analyze with excel that gives you a download file with all your data of the specific visual in excel type that you can then make pivot summary whatever you need.

Hey @Anonymous

Not sure if this is quite what you're asking for, but I've used the concept in the thread below to add groupings for financial reports, region groupings, etc. on my reports: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Grouping-in-Matrix/td-p/485514

I'f you're trying to include a filter label with your table before exporting to excel that won't work sorry.

Thanks. I started looking at DAX formula language to create the groupings and it creates a table then maybe use the Matrix visualization. I am not sure when I try to export to csv format for excel what will happen.
