Bar style timeline visual

Hello friends!

I've been struggling to find a replacement for the "as timeline" visual.

I need a replacement because the "as timeline" visual is not avaiable in the store anymore and it is not "power bi certified", so I can't use any of the premium export options in my company workspace. I must have tested 10 + visuals from the store and haven't found a single one that can do this:

with this as input:

Notice that it has multiple instances of "Type" per "Name", so a common gantt visual won't do the trick.

Is there any currently avaiable visual that is power bi certified that can do the same as this simple "as timeline visual"?

Thanks in advance!

Hello there,

Given you are ony allowed certified visuals you may need to make a compromise.

One option could be to use and stacked bar chart and change dates to numbers, and use tooltips for the date times.

Create a timeline view using the Stacked Bar Chart... - Microsoft Power BI Community

Another might be to use a Gantt visual and stagger the events

Hi @rafaelhss ,

Maybe you can try to use Gantt visual. It has start date and end date.

This could be done with the Charticulator visual.  If you provide some sample data, I (or someone else) can take a shot at it.  Please @ me in the response to make sure I see it.  Or if you want to try yourself, here is a video series to help get you started.

Just realized that the charticulator visual does not support exporting. So even if I could reproduce the "as timeline" visual I would not be able to use it.

@MA thanks for your response. I will take a look at the charticulator. If you want to take a shot here is a sample dataset:

Not: Datetime format is dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm

FYI on here is what the chart might look like in Charticulator.  Note that I created measures to subtract 10 hrs from the Start/End times to get the x axis right.  Also, the Export Data option is available with this visual.
