An argument of function 'date' has the wrong data type or the result is too large or too small

Hi Everyone,

I have created a table which has the below measure (2018 Revenue YTD) and customer name as the two columns. The table works fine with the measure. But whenever I select a slicer, I get an error message "An argument of function 'date' has the wrong data type or the result is too large or too small". Below is the measure which I am using to calculate the 2018 Revenue YTD. I have revenue data for 3 years 2018, 2019, and 2020 (2020 revenue data is till June 15, 2020). I am trying to calculate the YTD for 2018 and 2019 separately.

2018 Revenue YTD =
var date_2018 = DATE(2018,MONTH([Data as of Date]),DAY([Data as of Date]))
Return
CALCULATE([Revenue],
FILTER('SAP Data','SAP Data'[InvoiceDate]<=date_2018 && 'SAP Data'[FiscalYear]=2018))

And the 'Data as of Date' measure is Data as of Date= MAX('SAP Data'[InvoiceDate])

Can anyone please help me with this error message?

Thanks,
Animesh

@Anonymous seems Date as of date is not getting calculated correctly when you use the slicer, put this measure on a card visual and check when you slice the data what value you see for this measure and that seems to be the problem

and try to tweak this measure like this

Date as of date = CALCULATE ( MAX ( Table[Date] ), ALL ( Table ) )

I would  Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
