Hi Team ,
I have a two tables as shown below ,
Table A
country Amount DollarAmount
a 2 5
a,b 5 6
b 4 7
b,c 12 0
c,a 1 4
d 14 56
d,a 44 65
d,b 67 2
c,d 67 6
TableB
Country
a
b
c
d
i am displaying country in slicer from tableB . so here if i select country value 'c' than need to filter ' c' contains rows in table A.
and i am displaying amount if i select one country need to display the sum of amount and if i select more than one country need to display sum of dollaramount.
Please let me know the process to achieve .
Thank you in advance .
Regards,
Srinivas.
Hi @SrinivasaRao5_ ,
First thing you need to create individual rows for every country in Table A. Like you have got few rows, where "Country" = a, b; in such instances you need to split this row into 2 rows - one for "Country" = a and one for "Country" = b with your respective values in other columns "Amount" and "DollarAmount".
Once this is done, create a relationship between Table A and Table B on the column "COUNTRY".
Now create following visuals:
1. Slicer - "Country" column from Table B
2. Card Visual - Move "Amount" column from Table A and set summarization to SUM. This gives you total value of Amount.
3. Card Visual - Move "DollarAmount" column from Table A and set summarization to SUM.
You end up having 2 card visuals with a summarized value of "Amount" and "DollarAmount".
Now select Country = a from slicer; the card visuals will display Sum of Amount and DollarAmount in the card visuals.
When you select "Country = a" and "Country = b" in slicer; the card visuals shows the total Amount and DollarAmount taking summarization for both countries.
Let me know if this works.
Thanks.
