Filtering between tables not happening

Hi Everyone,

I have 2 tables (batch and job) I need job table to show jobdetails when any user select batch_id from batch table. Both tables are connected via batch_id in one to many relationship with batch table filtering job table

current scenario -- I am able to filter the job table when perticular batch_id is selected in batch table but as i am adding batch_start_time (date time column) in batch table and selecting batch_id from batch table the job table turns to blank showing no values at all.

Does anybody know, why it's happening ??

other details

batch table --

columns

1) batch_id

2) batch_start_time

3) batch_end_time

4) batch_status

5) created_date

job table --

columns

1) batch_id

2) job_id

3) job_start_time

4) job_end_time

5) job_status

6) created_date

note --  can't provide any data.

Hello @rautaniket0077,

Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot:

  1. Ensure that the relationship between the batch table and the job table is correctly defined and established. The batch_id column in the batch table should be related to the batch_id column in the job table.

  2. Confirm that the filtering condition on the relationship is set correctly. The relationship should be set to filter the job table based on the selected batch_id from the batch table.

  3. Verify that there are matching records in the job table for the selected batch_id. If there are no matching records, the job table will appear blank when a batch_id is selected.

  4. Check the format of the batch_start_time column in the batch table. Ensure that it matches the format expected in the relationship and filter conditions. Date/time formats should match exactly for the filtering to work properly.

  5. If you have made any changes to the batch table or the job table, make sure to refresh the data in Power BI to reflect the updated relationship and filter conditions.
