Create Column - Sum of values in other tables

Hi all,

I'm trying to use a centralised table to get a sum of attributes from different sources, but I'm having issues. (PBI file below).

https://www.dropbox.com/s/b8antobqv56usf8/PBI%20Column%20Fix.pbix?dl=0

My DAX doesn't seem to filter out the count of "2001" by "Engine Capacity", instead it finds any instance of "2001" in that table and sums that instead? (Code in spoiler)

Spoiler
Source Count =
CALCULATE(SUM('Data Source Info'[Data Source Count]),
FILTER('Data Source Info',
'Data Source Info'[Standardised Attribute Name]='Standardised Attribute Name Lookup w Value'[Standardised Attribute Name] &&
'Data Source Info'[Stand Value 1]='Standardised Attribute Name Lookup w Value'[Stand Value 1]&&
'Data Source Info'[Stand Value 2]='Standardised Attribute Name Lookup w Value'[Stand Value 2]))

Any help will be appreciated!

Kind regards,

Jordan

Issue now solved. Because of the duplicte values in the my centralised table, I was receiving double counts. Refer to the photo in this thread!

To fix this, I exported the attribute, value 1 and value 2 from all data tables, removed duplicates and then loaded it into my centralised table as usual!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Your columns in the visualization are from Standardised Attribute Name Table and thus you are getting the correct values.

Pull the Columns from Data Source Info Table

You will get these results.

Also, there are too many Calculated Columns in your .pbix. Try using measures.

Hope this answers your query.

Hi @harshnathani,

Thank you for the quick response. I was expecting an output with numbers that came out like this though? I need to use the centralised table for the attribute name otherwise I won'te get counts from other tables?image.png
