We are having issues with a company deployment of Power BI. Many users rely on the Analyse in Excel feature.
They are affected by this issue which is causing considerable frustration.
Can a Microsoft Power BI team member please advise which combination of MSOLAP / Adal.dll and Office 365 monthly updates is supported? Its clear from our testing we need to standardize the version of MSOLAP and the Office 365 updates deployed across the company but I am loathe to do this without knowing what combination is supported or recommended.
Here are our test results. The current state is that user 2 cannot refresh workbooks created by user 1 or any .odc connections downloaded from the Power BI Service using the 'Analyse In Excel' button:
Thank you 🙂
@TimBush,
There is no official article stating that which version of MSOLAP/Adal.dll and Office 365 updates are supported build.
In your scenario, Analyze in Excel feature doesn't work even you replace MSOLAP with MSOLAP 7 in some cases, right? If so, what is the result if you upgrade Office to 1711 version? And do you get issues when use Power BI publisher for Excel?
Regards,
Lydia
