My data source is one SQL database (about 25 gb). Previously running the report was instataneous but now that I have loaded around 2500 BLOB images into a new table in the database, the report takes almost an hour to render, making it virtually useless. The new BLOB table is indexed, is there anything I can do to speed this up or any workarounds?

you may want to add pre-downsampled images to your SQL database.
Please provide more details. Are the images part of the report? Are they part of the query?
Yes sorry - the images are embedded within the report.
Is the original image resolution the same as the rendering space on the report? Or does each image need to be downsampled?
Each image is being downsampled - they are read from a BLOB field directly from the SQL database.

Thank you - I used a python script to reduce the image size, re-exported as BLOBs, and imported into the db and it has greatly increased the speed - it is now usable.
