Hi, @PowerBI88

Based on your description, you want to know how to embed a Power BI Report into Dynatrace, but the current version of Dynatrace does not integrate directly with Power BI, but you can create a custom solution for this purpose. You need to use Power BI's Web Data Source feature to pull data from the Dynatrace API. You can try the following steps to embed a report into Dynatrace.
1. Create a Power BI report
First, create the required report in Power BI Desktop or Power BI Services. Define the Web data source in the report. Specify the Dynatrace API URL from which you want to retrieve the data (for example, the Environment API report). You can also use parameters (such as hostnames and tokens) to make the report reusable for different tenants. Make sure to set the necessary HTTP headers (e.g., "Authorization" for tokens and "Accept" for JSON data).
2. Convert data to tabular format
Since Dynatrace API responses are typically in JSON format, you need to convert the data to a tabular format. Use the Convert to Table option in Power BI to convert the data. Create columns to reference specific fields required by the report.
3. Customize Columns
Use the Add Column feature in Power BI to create columns that correspond to the relevant data fields. For example, if you want to get a list of hosts, create a column for the host name using the corresponding field in the Dynatrace API response.
4. Repeat for other queries
If you have multiple queries (for example, time series and issue API charts), repeat the above steps for each query.
5. Publish the report:
Save the Power BI report and publish it to the Power BI service.
6. Embed the report:
Open the report in the Power BI service. Go to the File menu, select Embed Report, and then select Website or Portal. You will get an embed code that can be used to integrate the report into Dynatrace.
