Anybody having the same problem or an idea what is the reason for that ?
Hi @TinHau,
Is this the first time you open Power BI Desktop 2.53? When do you encounter this error? Does it crash once you attemp to launch the desktop? Or do you make any operaion in PBI report that cause it to crash?
Have you tried ro reinstall Power BI desktop for a test?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
It happend on a brand new install. (Actually on a machine that is for packaging the software to later distribute via App-V). Doing this monthly and never ran in any problem before. Yes it happens right after I import some data on the first visualisation I try to create.
The strange thing is that it happens on two machines (one for W7 and the other for W10 - unfortunately we still have both)
So all I do is, import a data source (SQL Server or SSAS Cube) then click on a measure to visualize and it crashes.
Hi @TinHau,
Unfortunately, I didn't find the root cause to this crash problem. It may be related to your computer environment settings. You may need to create a support ticket for further analysis.
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
