I have a Workspace that is connected to an F2 Fabric Capacity.
When I select New -> Data pipeline
I get the following Popup
Which is obviously wrong as the Workspace is on a capacity.
The Workspace use to be setup as a trial, but I move it to a paid for Fabric Capacity. Could this be having an impact?

Very similar case with me.
I have created a Free Trial account with Microsoft Fabric. In the Account Manager it shows as Free Account & Trial as shown below.
When I try to create a workspace the licenses enabled are "Pro" and "Premium per-user" but NOT the "Trial" license, as shown in the below picture.
On creating workspace with enabled License mode(Pro or PPU) and try to add an item such as "Data pipeline" it shows us below message.
Can someone help me on this issue, please?
I have seen the same issue.
My workspace is backed by a P1 capacity but I still get the error to "Upgrade to a free Microsoft Fabric Trial" ???
This ended up being a permissions issue that an AD Ops admin had to correct. They needed to add me into the Microsoft Fabric AD group and then I was able to do the needed creation.
Can you double-check in your workspace settings which capacity that particular workspace is assigned to? If possible, could you share that screenshot as well?
it is assigned to the capacity I put it as
Under the reassign it is already set to the correct capacity
And then in the listings of workspaces, it is under the expected capacity
