Hi,
Using power BI gateway connection we are not able to connect to SQL Server database. We have one gateway created and few database connections to Analysis services. while we are trying to connect to database to access tables directly getting .below message. but we have .Net 4.5 framework already installed on the database server.
Error: "Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed."
Solution that I found on the forum is: Deleting duplcate enties of "DbProviderFactories".
if this is the case where we find "machine config" files. Please provide detail steps.
Thanks,
Sreekanth

Yeah, We are planning for implementing this fix and see if that works in our scenario too.
Will update the thread with the outcome of it.
Hi @snagaboina,
Is the issue solved now?
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
In our case it got resolved updaing the domainame\username used for the datasource to case sensitive. domainname is changed to upper case(DOMAINNAME\username)
