Slicers do not work when embedding Power BI Dashboard in Dynamics 365

Hello,

In Dynamics 365 I have connected a Power BI dashboard (Workplace --> Dashboards --> New Power BI Dashboard) but there seems to be an issue: The slicers included in the dashboard do not work, so all I get is a static representation where all I can interact with are other visualizations.

Once I click on the dashboard so it opens in a pop-up window or back in app.powerbi.com the slicers work as intended. However, they do not work within Dynamics 365 which is a bit annoying because it hinders how all our CRM users can take advantage of combining usage of the dashboard with usage of the CRM.

Is there a solution to this issue? Or is there something I am doing wrong that I need to fix for slicers to work?

Thank you!

Hi @CarlosEMS,

There is currently a limitation to using slicers in Power BI that slicers cannot be pinned to a dashboard. Here is an idea about support pinning report slicer to dashboard. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.

In addition, could you try pinning the entire report page to a new dashboard in Power BI service, then embedding this new dashboard in Dynamics 365 to see if it works? Smiley Happy

Thank you for the reply @v-ljerr-msft,

The problem is that I have already pinned the entire report page to a dashboard as you suggest, and when I embed the dasboard (pinned page) into Dynamics 365 the slicers show up, but I cannot interact with them. However, the other visualizations work like a charm.

If I click on the Dashboard to see it in Power BI or as a pop-up window I can interact with the slicers, but not directly within Dynamics 365,
