With the new Look & Feel of Power BI Service, the option to Test as a role for other reports inside your workspace (connected to the same dataset) has been removed. The old ribbon you could expand the ribbon using the "hamburger menu" select other content in the Workspace and test the role in a connected report. Now it is fixed and the option has been removed. Could there be a fix?

Yes there is a current work around.
add "?TridentStage2=0" to the end of the URL string, or simply go to http://app/powerbi.com/home?tridentstage2=0
Then you'll find the "old" UI is is still available to work with.

Nowadays there is a solution for solve this: there is a new option called "Viewing" on the top menu. It allows you to select another report that is connected with the dataset. See the screenshot
In that way now is possible to test in any other report.
