Paginated Reports List within a list using another dataset

Hello im having a little bit of trouble with setting up a paginated report. Spesifically i have a report that displays multiple items in a "List" tablex, but each item also has a list of items that i need to display. The main issue is that they are comming from diffrent dataset and paginated reports isnt letting me put a list in there with a diffrent dataset as a source. I saw somthing about putting in a sub report but im unsure how that would work. Any advice?

Hi @gblanks ,

Have you ever tried using a subreport?A subreport is a paginated report item that displays another paginated report inside the body of a main paginated report. You can use any report as a subreport. You can design the parent report to pass parameters to the subreport.it can repeat within data regions, using a parameter to filter data in each instance of the subreport.

To add a subreport:

1.On the Insert tab, click Subreport.
2.On the design surface, click a location on the report and then drag a box to the desired size of the subreport.
3.Right-click the subreport, and then click Subreport Properties.
4.In the Subreport Properties dialog box, type a name in the Name text box or accept the default.
5.In the Use this report as a subreport box, click Browse, or type the name of the report.
