OUTAGE ALERT!

An ongoing incident involving Azure Active Directory may impact Power BI customers ability to sign-in and interact with the service.  Azure Engineers are investigating the issue and additional updates can be found here:  Azure Status

Would you know if this outage would also impact data refresh? I have my Desktop version connected to a SQL table.

After I finish refreshing it I get an error message saying "Something went wrong. Sequence contains no matching element"

After going through some threads I read people saying something about logging with different accounts and since the outage is related to login I'm not sure if this would also be related or what.

Thank you

Yes, it definitely does. Refreshes also need to authenticate, either through the gateway or saved credentials.

Thanks.  Why is this outage not being reflected on the main PBI status page here? https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

I suspect because it is an Azure Directory outage, which affects Power BI (and almost all Azure related services). So Power BI itself doesn't have an issue, only the authentication through AAD.

Understood but definately does note make this right.  PBI has many related services,  If these related services make PBI unavailable, it needs to be flagged as PBI down.  Simple as that in my mind,! As a tenant admin, I've never even received an alert that PBI has had an outage...Doesn't sound right to me!

I've never received an alert either, in close to 4 years. In my opinion we shouldn't have to check the Azure Portal and it's difficult to identify all the services that may have an impact on Power BI and what the actual consequences may be.

I understand that also.

You could have a look at the Azure Portal and see if you can set up Service Health alerts for this?
