Issue with pivot table in excel when getting data from Power BI

[Anonymous]

My goal is to let other members in the company be able to get the source data any time they want,

so I publish my dashboard to the workspace, and testing it from excel with reference from here.

The issue appeared while I was trying to explore the data in excel that I can't drag the value into value area:

Power BI can use implicit measures, meaning it can do aggregations on numeric columns without any help.  "Analyze in Excel"  cannot do that, it needs explicit measures.

The remedy is relatively simple - create explicit measures for each of your values. I assume you want averages?

Avg pop change = AVERAGE('Table'[pop_change_per_thousand])
