I have multiple workspaces and each workspace has close to a hundred reports within it. Is there anway to organize these reports by their functional use? We moved from Tableau where we had project folders so we could separate out the reports by their functional areas, I do not see such option in Power BI. I am sure many others before me has faced similar issues, how did you handle this? I appreciate any inputs, thank you.
Currently, there is no option to create folders within an app workspace. The only. recommendation I can currently make is to move those reports into different workspaces and consider an app workspace as a folder.
I have not used app workspaces before, are you saying we can have multiple workspaces in an app? I already have about 20 workspaces, we are in the SAS Space and provide reports to different customers for different line of business. Each workspace has many reports.
I found it, I can create apps under workspaces and under apps I can create folders. This is good, I hope permissions can be automated using API's and trickle through workspace to apps?
Yes, keep in mind you can create on App per workspace and in the App you can create Audiences for each report. You can create up to 25 audiences in an App
