Dataflows sourcing Excel files directly via URL now failing

Dataflows sourcing Excel files directly via URL now failing.

URL is external public website , anon access OK. SharePoint not involved at all. Gateway not involved.

"Error: DataSource.Error: The downloaded data is HTML which isn't the expected type. The URL may be wrong or you might not have provided the right credentials to the server."

These dataflows all worked yesterday.

What else has changed ?

Hi @pat_mecee ,

You go to the "Advanced editor" and check if there is a problem with the code.

If there's no problem with the code, perhaps the website has added a verification mechanism.

You try to re-create a Dataflow to verify whether the problem is caused by the data source.

Best regards,
Lionel Chen
