Create a second tenant within same AAD

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if I understand completely, but is there a way to create a second PowerBI tenant within the same AAD?

My department is getting its own IT department soon (right now we have one big IT dept with one AAD), but for multiple reasons we want to migrate to a new PBI tenant sooner than that. Is it possible?

My guess is that we'd have to bridge 6-8 months until the IT move is complete. During that time, we would need to have second PBI tenant up and running in a temporary environment.

Thanks.

Hi , @Anonymous

A tenant represents an organization in Azure Active Directory.Your organization may already have an Azure AD tenant that you can use for your application. You can also create a new tenant specifically for your application. An AD  "tenant" is like an account on Azure AD.

You can refer to these documnets for more details.

What is an Azure AD directory?
