Could not refresh the connection

I have a query that I created and then removed within power query.

Now that is looking to refresh the connection. When I go to existing connections, right click and try to select "edit connection properties" nothing happens. It looks like this connection is stuck in limbo. How do I remove it?

Hi Yolo, I'm not able to find this menu. I'm using Excel in office 365 - is Power BI a seperate app?

Hi @PCarson00

You can also set it in excel

Then select remove the permission

I did this but in global permissions it is greyed out like in your screenshot. I cleared permissions for the other option, data sources in current workbook. Then refreshed the data and it still looks for the missing entries.

I have the same problem, when trying to edit connection properties again after this, nothing happens when I click the context menu.

Hi @PCarson00

If you existed in power bi desktop, you can edit the permission in option->data source settings,

then select edit permissions
