Auto refresh Dashboard on Power BI online with SharePoint on premise data

Hi,

I have a SharePoint 2013 on premise setup and the sites are made available over internet using Azure AD application proxy (which requires OAuth2).

I have created few reports on Power BI desktop by pulling data from SharePoint using using OData service and Windows credentials and published them to Power BI site.

Now I am looking to auto refresh the Data from Power BI site to keep dashborad refreshed all the time, but authentication to SharePoint site fails.

The challenge is

1. I can not select OAuth2 to access SharePoint site via AAD app proxy, since it is not supported for OData calls.

2. Widnows credentials does not work since SharePoint site wants to get users authenticated agains AAD and power BI sees that URL as invalid. Please see below images.

Any help is highly apriciated. Thanks.

Perhaps the use of a gateway and Windows Auth?
