Hi all,
I'm looking for help to determine the text value in the search text box shown in the attached pic. For logging purposes, we would like to save the text that is entered into our database.
In JavaScript, we can get the visual object for the textbox but would like help determining the text value.
Have tried the getFilters function for the visual, report, and page but it does not have the value of the textbox.
Thanks,
Greg

HI @gdbaerg,
It seems like you are trying to get filters from a custom visual, I'm not so sure if these functions are fully compatible with custom visuals. Have you tried the getfilters function on other visuals?
If 'get filter' works on other visuals, you can try to create a variable to cache the history filter before the 'text filter' visual filter is applied. Then you can compare the current filter and history filter to get the custom visual filters.
