Getting access token to request PowerAPI

Hello,

 

I am trying the get an access token in order to fetch PowerBi API. Is there a way to do it without having to pay for a capacity or a PowerBI premium licence ? 

 

Here is what I want to do : 

  • User login and consent to app permissions
  • App get an access token
  • App can make request in order to get list of reports or create embed token

I have added API permissions for Microsoft Service (Reports.Read, etc..). I don't really understand why I can't use PowerBI API.

 

I have implemented the same flow for Sharepoint / OneDrive.

 

Could anyone help me ?

Hi @victordavid ,

 

Based on your description, you have a pro license.

Embed tokens with PRO license are intended for development testing, so a Power BI master account or service principal can only generate a limited number of tokens.
