Hi,
I am developing Custom Visuals for Power BI report. I want to add custom date filter from the report UI. I want that it will filter the report data based on date selection on the report section. Power BI provide the default date filter but I want to add custom textbox and user will enter the date and based on that date report will be filter.
How can I add this in my custom visuals?
Can you please suggest me how to do this.
This could be a challenge for custom visual. You may check if a slicer works, it is an alternate way of filtering.
Hi @v-chuncz-msft,
Yes, I know the slicer filter and that is I have already used in my report. But I want that I have a custom date picker control to select 2 dates. So is it possible or not. I know that it is a chanllenge. But Can It be possible to develop this kind of visual?

Thanks
Its Very much helpful for me if you reply please
I suppose that you should use Advanced Filter API to implement filtering in your own custom visual (example, usage doc).
Please let me know if that meets your requirements.

In Sam's case, you can enter two dates instead of picking them on the calendar, so it should be possible.
