quick measure month over month only works with date hierarchy.

title says it all. I am looking ot perform a month over month change measure, and the quick measure calc only works when I break out the date by the hierarchy. how can i make it work with just the month start date?

As long as you are filtered to a year in your report (assuming you want to see the MoM% for one year, not all the years combined), you can go ahead and just pop the month field into your visual. You don't need the whole hierarchy.

Below is from the adventure_works dataset - I am filtered to FY2020, and just have the month numbers in the visual.
