Wrong data appearing when shared

When I share my report with someone the report seems to show different data to what I can see on my screen. Is there any reason for this?

Hi @agd50

There are several possible reasons for a discrepancy between the report you see on your desktop and the published version that someone else sees:

RLS (Row-level security): It's possible that the other user is only seeing rows that are filtered based on their permissions, if RLS is enabled for the report.

Differences in refresh times: The report may have been refreshed at different times for you and the other user, leading to different data being displayed.

Automatic filter saving: If automatic filter saving is enabled in the service, filters applied by the other user may be saved and applied when they view the report, resulting in a different view than what you see on your desktop.

These are all the factors that can be checked without delving into the data. Beyond this, it would be necessary to export the tables from the service where the discrepancy occurs and compare them with the desktop version to identify the exact cause of the issue.

To avoid saving filters you can modify the option from the desktop:

and from service :
