Visualize start/stop time of events

I'm wondering if a custom visual will be needed.  The end goal would be a visual that displays tasks bsaed on the duration of time (with context of start stop time on x axis perhaps?).  Can this be accomplished using existing visuals?

You have to use a gantt chart custom visual.
