Hi @rinam

You have connected to Google Analytics successfully, but it show you that you don't have access to the data.

The Google Analytics content pack and the connector in Power BI Desktop rely on the Google Analytics Core Reporting API. As such, features and availability may vary over time.

You're prompted with a dialog that explains that the connector is a Third-Party Service, and warns about how features and availability may change over time, and other clarifications.

When you connect to Google Analytics (Third-Party Service), you need to sign in by your gmail acount instead of your Power BI account.

For reference: Changes to the API

Although we attempt to release updates in accordance with any changes, the API may change in a way that affects the results of the queries we generate. In some cases, certain queries may no longer be supported. Due to this dependency we cannot guarantee the results of your queries when using this connector.

Advice:

Please check whether you have access to the data in Google Analytics by same account.

Please check whether Google Analytics has updated and some setting may have been changed.

Could you get other data from Google Analytics in Power BI by this gmail account?

You can remove the credential in Data Source Setting and connect to Google Analytics agian.

Hi @rinam were you able to find a solution? I used the GA native connector but had some issues with my data sometimes. Maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics (which doesn't have PBI as a destination, so you first have to export to Google Sheets and then export to PBI) and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA connector in the data sources list:

GA-1.png

After that, just grant access to your GA account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA fields:

GA-2.png

There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

Hi @rinam

Have you fixed this problem?

I am also using the Japanese version of Power BI and have the same problem.

If you have solved it, please let me know how you solved it.
