Ranking position in league table at same point in previous year

Hi,

I am struggling with pulling through the ranking from the previous year and then being able to calculate whether the subject has gone up or down in popularity.

The table is set up like this but obviously a lot large

Looking to show something like this (this in excel for a visual, which unable to reproduce in Power Bi)

I can get the ranking to work for the overall total, but it doesn't seem to like to pull through previous year.

I've tried all sorts, creating measure etc... without any success.

Any help to point me in the right direction would fab.

many thanks

Suze

Hi,

I am not sure how your datamodel looks like, but please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.
