Rank by common value per category

Hello all!

I'm trying to create a specific type of ranking.

Let's assume we have the below data.

Business Area	Report ID	Dimension
Supply Chain	R01	D01
Supply Chain	R01	D02
Supply Chain	R01	D03
Supply Chain	R02	D01
Supply Chain	R02	D02
Supply Chain	R02	D03
Supply Chain	R02	D04
Supply Chain	R03	D02
Supply Chain	R03	D05
Supply Chain	R03	D06
Supply Chain	R03	D07

What I'd like to accomplish is to give each report a rank within each Business Area according to the number of common dimensions. As I think I'd need a reference report to compare to, the reference report would be the report with the most number of dimensions. Then every other report within the Business Area would get compared to that.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, but I tried to create a sample pbix file like below.

Please check the below picture and the attached pbix file.

All measures are in the attached pbix file.

I hope this helps to get some ideas to apply to your data model.
