Poor performance when direct querying to an Azure SQL DW

Hi,

I am connecting to Azure sql datawarehouse using Direct Query with 2 million records in the fact table.My reports are performing too slow.The report is taking 2 minutes to load.When we apply any slicers it is taking more than 1 minute.Please suggest me how to improve the performance of the reports?

Hi @ashmozzart,

 

I think you should improve your data structure at azure database side, I haven't found some effective solutions to improve the performance at power bi desktop side.
