Not able to calculate Growth% as per Hierarchial Dimension

I am not able to calculate growth% based on hierarchy dimension

My formula is (CY/PY)*100 WHERE CY DENOTES CURRENT YEAR AND PY DENOTES PREVIOUS YEAR

THIS FORMULA SHOULD WORK ON STATE, REGION, CITY WISE

AS CURRENTLY IT SHOWS INCORRECT VALUE.

Also the values are not getting aggregate as per the dimensions.

Solution for your problem

create measure not column

1. Measure = sum('2016-2017') / sum('2015-2016')

Once create the measure . just click on the measure and go to the modelling ribbon

do click the % symbol1.JPG

2. Yes we have the function to compare previous year like PREVIOUSYEAR for that  u want one date column .

anyhow check the previous functions in DAX that will help u dude

I want to cacluate growth% i.e. (2016-17 /2015-16)*100 based on state, region city.

Now growth% is getting calculated based on each row level and if i display data statewise growth% then it sum the value.

Please suggest any solution as i am not able to display data based on hierarchy level.

Also i want to know is there any prebuild function to calcualte the percentage variation or growth as compare to previous year or month or week. Note: I don't want to write DAX query it should be prebuilt function.

Solution for your problem

create measure not column

1. Measure = sum('2016-2017') / sum('2015-2016')

Once create the measure . just click on the measure and go to the modelling ribbon
